The first coin produced using a holographic cliche produced by our company was issued in 2006. It was a commemorative coin “Cycling”, developed by the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus and minted at the Kazakhstan Mint of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In 2010, the same mint issued a coin “10 years of EurAsEC”, a holographic image and a cliche for which was made by JSC “HOLOGRAPHY INDUSTRY”.
The technology for transferring a holographic image has also been developed and implemented at such enterprises as the Lithuanian Mint, St. Petersburg Mint, Kostroma jewelry factories and others.
So, in 2012, 4 products were produced using holographic clichés manufactured at the enterprise “HOLOGRAPHY INDUSTRY”:
- medal “New Vilnius” – the first large enough image for this technology, transferred to metal;
- medal “Year of the Snake” – application of Flip-Flop technology (appearance and disappearance of year digits when changing the viewing angle);
- commemorative coin “Stars Flight” (Stars Flight slide) – image in real colors (part of the hologram – photograph);
- commemorative coin “Alexander Nevsky” – the first time when the technology of the combined holographic cliché was applied, which is a combination of micro- and macro-relief for delocalization of the holographic relief (micro-relief – the relief of the hologram, macro-relief – the minted relief of the coin).
We can also consider the possibility of joint production of souvenir banknotes. At the moment, our company has a similar experience – in 2010, in honor of the 20th anniversary of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus, the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus and JSC “HOLOGRAPHY INDUSTRY” produced a commemorative banknote worth 20,000 rubles. The banknote is redeemed with a special stamp made of pressed holographic foil in the form of the NBRB logo with a vignette and numbers “1991–2011”.
