On October 1, 2011, the opening of the World Exhibition “Holography-2011” took place in the exhibition hall of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. In the traditional ritual of cutting the red ribbon at the entrance to the exhibition hall, Deputy Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee A.M. Borisenko, 1st Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus P. Vityaz and Chairman of the Exhibition Organizing Committee, Academician of the International Engineering Academy L. Tanin.
Within the framework of the exhibition “Holography-2011. Minsk ‘(October 1 – December 20) the best works of art holography from 20 countries of the world were presented; in total – more than 150 holograms. A third of the exhibits were created in Belarus, at the JSC “Light Magic”.
There were no analogues of this exhibition in the history of art holography, in terms of the number and variety of exhibits presented. In total, over 100,000 people visited the exhibition in less than three months.
The organizers of the exhibition were JSC “Light Magic” and JSC “HOLOGRAPHY INDUSTRY”.
The World Exhibition of Art Holograms “Holography-2011” was held with the support of the Minsk City Executive Committee, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, leading companies and firms in the field of holography from Russia, the Republic of Belarus and foreign countries.
