On the New Year holidays’ eve, the traditional atmosphere of winter magic will be replenished with a new event: an exhibition of artistic holograms "HOLOGRAPHY – 2021" will be opened at the Polotsk Art Gallery since 24 December 2020. The exhibition is organized by “Magic of Light” LLC, JSC "HOLOGRAPHY INDUSTRY" and the National Polotsk Historical and Cultural Reserve-Museum, who has provided Art Gallery’s space for the exhibition.
Artistic holograms are the result of the union of modern science, art, culture, and history. The holograms presented at the exhibition were created thanks to scientific developments and the direct supervision of a Belarusian physicist of international frame - Leonid Tanin. The holograms production at “Magic of Light” LLC is exclusive in our Republic and is considered to be unique all over the world.
The place of the exhibition was chosen not by chance. Polotsk is the oldest city, historical core of Belarus and still has the glory of the most important cultural center of Belarus.
The holographic exhibitions held by “Magic of Light” LLC have more than 40 years of history: from the first All-Union exhibition in 1978 to the world exhibitions of the XXI century. They were always a success. Our holograms were presented at exhibitions in 17 countries around the world arousing universal interest and leaving an indelible impression on visitors. The exhibition presents a wide variety of holograms, both in terms of storylines and technological features. Visitors will see optical copies of such rarities as: the Cross of Euphrosyne of Polotsk, the Zhirovich Icon of the Mother of God, the Gifts of the Magi. For the first time, a large-format hologram will be displayed: the Turov Cross, that was recreated in our days same as the Cross of Euphrosyne of Polotsk. Visitors will also be able to see the "Slutsk Belt" (the original is kept in the National Historical Museum), the "Belt of Grand Duke Vitautas" (dating from the XIV or the beginning of the XV century), ancient Belarusian jewelry. Young visitors will enjoy holograms of domestic and wild animals, prehistoric fish and birds and a swimming shark. Flora lovers will see the magical world of flowers.
“Magic of Light” LLC will present a hologram associated with the venue - the Seal of Euphrosyne of Polotsk with the image of Jesus Christ dated 12th century, found on the territory of the Spaso-Euphrosyne Monastery in 2015. Visitors will be able to compare the original directly with its exact optical copy.
