Israeli President Reuven Rivlin will personally congratulate everyone on Independence Day. Of course, Reuven Rivlin will not visit the apartment of anyone who wants to see him. This is a hologram of the president, which will appear on your smartphone, but the head of state will congratulate on the background of the situation in your apartment.
The project was implemented using augmented reality technology (English augmented reality, AR), which should be distinguished from virtual reality. It’s easy to understand the difference. In virtual reality, all objects are created by a computer program, that is, they are unrealistic. Augmented reality technology consists in the fact that fictional (virtual) objects become part of the real environment.
In order for the president’s hologram to appear on the screen of your mobile phone, which will show the situation where you directed the camera, you must follow this link and scan the QR code.
The software for the project was Tetavi Group. The president was shot in a special room, and then the received images were processed. In particular, Rivlin starred without glasses so that there were no glare. Points were drawn to him already during the creation of the hologram. Thus, thanks to augmented reality, the president will not only congratulate you on Independence Day, but also tell you what he remembers and what feelings he experienced 72 years ago — during the proclamation of the state when he was 9 years old.
In addition, it will be possible to take a photo with the president using the Screenshot function (screenshot). To do this, you will need to enter the frame with Rivlin and ask someone from home to capture the “historical moment”. Among the goals of the project “Congratulations from the President” is to compensate for the absence this year of a number of state ceremonies, canceled due to the coronavirus, at which the head of state traditionally delivered speeches.
