The Museum “Saved Artistic Values” presents a unique exhibition of artistic holograms – “HOLOGRAPHY-2020. Brest”
2020 is the first year of the new millennium of the history of the ancient city of Brest.
For the first time in this long history, a holographic exhibition will “arrive” in Brest: on March 27, 2020, an exhibition of art holograms “Holography-2020. Brest”, organized by JSC" Light Magic" (Minsk) and the Brest Regional Museum.
The word “holography” in translation from Greek means “I write everything.” And the hologram itself is a photographic plate, which, as a result of certain technological operations, “memorizes” the spatial distribution of light rays reflected from all areas of the laser-illuminated object. And if then this photographic plate is illuminated with solar or artificial light, then it will reproduce the same spatial distribution of light rays, and the observer will see a virtual object.
Holography is a young, modern and promising science. Today it finds application in museums, education and enlightenment, medicine, space exploration, show business, interior design, advertising and other fields. As for art holograms, it is undoubtedly the art of the future. The future that has come today.
Similar exhibitions of art holograms were successfully held in Minsk, Vitebsk, Gomel, Grodno, Zhodino, Borisov. In addition to exhibitions in the republic, hologram exhibitions were held in 17 countries of the world, being very popular everywhere. In Mogilev, A safe room has been recreated, using a hologram, where one of the main shrines of Belarus was kept – the Cross of Euphrosyne of Polotsk.
The exhibition in Brest will become a bright, unforgettable, educational event that will be remembered for a long time by all its visitors. The exhibition will surprise you not only with the number of presented holograms, but also with their thematic variety. These are the sections “Museum values”, “Spiritual relics”, “Art holograms”, “Teaching tools”, “Flora and fauna” and many others.
Visitors will be able to see, for example, three-dimensional holographic images of the Slutsk belt (one of the few original works of Belarusian masters of the 18th century that have survived intact), the belt of the Grand Duke Vitovt of the XIV century, the “Book of Kings” published by Francis Skorina more than 500 years ago, old Orthodox shrines.
The undoubted traditional interest of visitors will be aroused by the hologram “Cross of Euphrosyne of Polotsk”, the original of which was made in 1161, lost in the fire of the Great Patriotic War and recreated in 1997 by the Brest master Nikolai Kuzmich). There are only a few copies of this hologram – one of them was presented to Patriarch Alexy II of Moscow during his visit to Belarus, the second was presented to Metropolitan Filaret, the third was placed in one of the Minsk churches, and the fourth could be seen by visitors to the exhibition in Brest.
JSC" Light Magic" prepares new art holograms associated with the venue of the exhibition for each regular exhibition. In this case, these are exhibits from the collection of the Brest Regional Museum.
Visitors will be able to directly compare the rarities with their exact optical copies.
The exhibition will run until May 31, 2020 and will be open on all days of the week (except Monday) from 10.00 to 17.30.
